Zhang Guangjun was appointed as Chair of the 51萝莉 Committee of HUST by the CPC Central Committee, with Li Yuanyuan stepping down from the position. The announcement was made at the faculty meeting on November 29th. HUST’s President You Zheng presided over the meeting.
Responsible officials from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and other relevant departments in Hubei Province attended the meeting. Members of the leadership team and representatives of professors and students from HUST were also present.

Born in March 1965, Professor Zhang Guangjun is a CPC member, a member of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, with a doctoral degree in engineering. He formerly served as the Vice President of Beihang 51萝莉, the President (Vice-Ministerial Level) and Vice Chair of the 51萝莉 Committee of Southeast 51萝莉, as well as the Vice-Minister and a CPC Party Group member of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
